I like how Peach goes la-la-la-la-la and skips before pulling out a golf club and beating the hell out of her opponents in Smash Bros. She deserves to be S-tier.

Forgot to post this here. It's Peach!

I achieved the look by scanning a traditional, uncolored doodle, which preserved the lines and allowed me to color digitally.

Crackpot theory: E. Gadd (and possibly his older family members) actually come from the Animal Crossing 'verse, hence his strange appearance in comparison to other humans in the Mario 'verse and the sounds he makes (like "yaboo, yaboo" ) which are similar to the animal villagers.

A traditional drawing done on lined paper. Two Kirbys stand beside each other. The one on the left is on their tiptoes and has one hand raised in the air which is engulfed in flames. They wear Mario's cap and have his mustache on their face. The one on the right is wearing Luigi's cap and has both hands raised, covering the lower part of their face. They also have Luigi's mustache and have bolts of electricity surrounding them..

It's the Kirby siblings, and copying's their game.

Headcanon that Daisy managed to break her leg playing golf right before the soccer tournament and so now she's just glaring at the TV as it broadcasts the matches.

Did You Know Gaming?:

In Super Mario 64, Mario takes falls damage, yet he does not in Super Mario Odyssey. This implies he got stronger knees in between those games. Whose knees they were originally is unknown.

Did You Know Gaming?:

In Luigi's Mansion 3, Luigi can go to Mario's apartment room and bathroom after he is kidnapped and find plates of pizza on the bathtub. This implies that Mario is a bathroom snacker. How Luigi feels about this is unclear.

i love that bowser's size is inconsistent because really its just bowser deciding per situation how big he wants to be. just like "today i want to be real fucking huge" and then another day hes like "actually i want be only just moderately big right now" and he can just do that. amazing.

oh and yeah a lot of it is posturing for mario. which i think in particular makes it really funny. lol. just hes prob thinking "ima get this big and that dumb little mario will totally be all like intimidated n scared bwahahah!!" and then mario just like "aha silly bowser" and like dunks him into lava or something either way. yknow just silly enemy things.

Mario and Luigi love each other as is, but they do have one thing they wish was different about the other: being able to handle a spider in the house.

As it stands, Luigi and Mario both get the heebie-jeebies from spiders, so neither of the brothers are getting closer to the spider, let alone willingly touching it. They can't do the throw objects at it strategy either, because they both don't really want to kill it. So then they have to rely on a method where they open the front door and use a broom to reach out toward the spider and slowly lead it out.

Of course, this is dependent on the spider not running at them; if it does, it's every plumber for himself.

The only saving grace they have is if Luigi happens to have a vacuum on hand to blow the spider away or if Peach arrives, wondering just what is making the brothers so late to the tennis match, only to find them both on top of the kitchen bar staring down at a tiny arachnid. (Thankfully she's used to putting spiders outside since Daisy is also not a fan of them.)

I know it's probably the case that the Star Rod in Mario Party 8 is not supposed to be the same as the one in Paper Mario, since Mario lore is not consistent, but also if it is, it would be so funny.

Like, you're just having fun doing party minigames and stuff and eventually as a reward MC Ballyhoo is like, "Congrats! You win a years supply of candy! And also this ancient powerful magical artifact I stole, lol."

Alex Minecraft mentions redstone off-handedly one time in front of Luigi and he's like, "Oh? What's that?"

Cue Alex rambling on about redstone for a good while and then they go and build a bunch of piston doors.

A digital fan art piece. Mario and Luigi sit on a couch in pajamas and with messy hair and mustaches. Polterpup lies on Luigi's lap, and Luigi has an arm resting around the dog. Mario wears white pajamas with blue stripes and Luigi wears cow-print pajamas. Luigi has red-stripped socks while Mario has green-stripped socks.

Morning Bros. Settling on a couch color was difficult.

Mario's pajamas come from SMB 2 and Luigi's socks are from the Mario & Luigi series.

I've been playing through all three of the Luigi's Mansions. Some thoughts:

1) In LM1, Luigi makes a comment about wanting to go to outer space. And I'm like! You do!! You do go to outer space!!!! Happy for him and his fulfilled wish.

2) Hellen Gravely saying, "Oh, I'm a fan of King Boo," and I'm like. Hellen. I saw your suite. I saw the statues. I saw the paintings. Talk about one heck of a parasocial relationship.

3) E. Gadd apparently doesn't know the Mario Bros. are plumbers. What does he assume they do???

4) Also E. Gadd seems to be nicer to Luigi in LM1. In LM1 E. Gadd compliments Luigi a lot, even calling him brave sometimes, while in LM2 and LM3 he sometimes makes the occasional mean comment. It's not so much that I would call E. Gadd a jerk or anything, it's just a pretty noticeable difference. Maybe he was more polite because they were strangers by that point?

5) LM1 carries a different vibe from LM2 and LM3. It feels... grittier, is the word that comes to mind. LM2 and LM3 definitely leaned more into the spooky (as in goofy, Halloween-ish vibes) factor. I wouldn't really say it's that much darker, though, other than the very brief speculations on whether Mario is alive or not when you don't know where he is.

I sometimes think about how in Bowser's Inside Story, Bowser's mind uses Bowser's memories of Mario and Luigi in order to protect his memory from what it views as a threat, instead of just, like, a mini version of how Bowser views himself.

I also think about how, in Minion's Quest when Cackletta is possessing Bowser and she suggests destroying Mario and Luigi to Bowser's most loyal minion, he's put off by it ( "Destroy them? Are you sure?" he says, paraphrasing of course) and eventually figures out it's not actually Bowser.

Like, Bowser'll swear up and down that he hates the Mario brothers, but he does seem to actually trust them (to an extent), and wouldn't want something serious to befall them.

Mario and Luigi headcanons

1) When Mario gets really mad, smoke literally comes out from his ears (thanks to his Firebrand). It's incredibly rare to witness this since not much is even capable of getting him that angry in the first place.

2) Luigi was scared of lightning and thunder as a young kid. He didn't know how to feel at first when he unlocked his Thunderhand.

3) Mario's Firebrand naturally makes him very warm. It's nice considering he dislikes being cold. (Can't really take credit for this headcanon since I've seen it around from multiple people... it's just a really good one.)

4) It's rare, but sometimes when Luigi's spooked he accidentally sends out some lightning. People's hairs have been unexpectedly poofed because of this.

5) The special bond Mario and Luigi have with each other that's mentioned in Yoshi's Island is still present despite growing up, although Mario and Luigi aren't the most conscious of it. Mario just gets this gut feeling when Luigi isn't near him and is in danger or hurting, just as Luigi does for Mario.

6) When Mario is in pain or scared, he tries not to let it show. He doesn't want people fretting over him. Luigi and Mario have had arguments because of this.

7) Mario and Luigi tend to speak in Italian (maybe also some Venetian?) when they're by themselves.

8) Mario and Luigi have a dislike for circuses that use animals.

9) Mario just has no shame. Luigi feels all the shame in his stead.

Wario: She's sixteen! *punches guy in the face, sending him flying*

Some headcanoned fears I've seen for Mario that I agree with are grand pianos, the dark and tight, closed spaces. Grand pianos aren't too bad; he more so just feels uneasy around them, and he does enjoy piano music. He can also persevere through dark areas if it's necessary for him to––he just won't like it.

Tight spaces are his kryptonite, though. He absolutely hates feeling like his movement is restricted. You can thank King Boo for this fear.

Some recent addition to the list of fears, though, is long, sharp objects. His experience with the Ridley attack wasn't a pleasant one, and Sephiroth only reinforced it.

Maybe the reason Luigi didn't have a "real" mustache in Paper Jam and was wearing a fake was because before that game, they weren't feeling very male so they just shaved off their mustache and then stared at theirself in the mirror before going "Nope. Too weird." So Luigi decided to wear a fake until the 'stache grew back.
